1. Context and objectives
As part of the implementation of Outputs 2 and 3 of the RBT-WAP project , a mid-term review workshop was organised to assess the progress made, identify the constraints encountered and adjust the strategic directions in order to ensure the achievement of the objectives set.
This workshop also served as a framework to begin planning work for 2026 and to take stock of the support provided by the SOFICAU Ubuntu Group in the area of financial management of partner NGOs.
The first session brought together 56 participants, including representatives from GIZ RBT-WAP, the SOFICAU Ubuntu Group firm , as well as the following partner NGOs: TINBA, Pépinière d'Afrique, Île Écologique, PASS TIGNAMB, BEONERE, CODD, EUD, ATPF, DERA, AREN, SOS Savane and Potal Man .
2. Intervention of the SOFICAU Ubuntu Group Holding
During the session of February 13, 2026 , the firm SOFICAU Ubuntu Group was invited to present the results of the diagnosis carried out with partner NGOs, as well as a communication on ISO 37001 compliance and access to financing.
The presentation was co-hosted by the Holding CEO, Mr. Faissale KANDISSOUNON , and the Holding HR Director, Ms. BAPARAPE Madihath .
The diagnosis reveals that the main shortcomings observed are linked to incomplete formalization and insufficient application of existing procedures.
Key areas of focus include:
Governance (decisions insufficiently documented, statutory bodies not very active);
Financial management (incomplete supporting documents, limited traceability of transactions);
Procurement (lack of formalized planning, insufficient competition);
Administrative management and the archiving system.
It was stressed that compliance is not based solely on the existence of manuals or procedures, but primarily on their effective and documented implementation.
Regarding ISO 37001 compliance and access to financing , the presentation highlighted that compliance is a strategic lever for obtaining and securing funding. Donors favor organizations capable of demonstrating their institutional credibility through transparency, traceability of decisions, and active governance. Discussions focused particularly on the challenges of procurement, human resources and administrative management, as well as the specific expectations of donors before any disbursement.
3. Short-term commitments
At the end of the workshop, each NGO identified three priority actions to be implemented within 30 days. For each of these actions, a person in charge was appointed and a measurable deliverable was defined.
These commitments are recorded in the monitoring table attached to this report.
4. Conclusion
This workshop fostered a collective awareness of existing organizational risks and the increasing requirements of donors in terms of compliance and governance.
It represents a crucial step in strengthening the organizational maturity of partner NGOs and in the sustainable improvement of their access to structured financing.
